Archbishop Naumann, Msgr. Krische & Dr. Michael St. Pierre

Msgr. Vince Krische served as the chaplain and director of the St. Lawrence Catholic Center at the University of Kansas for nearly thirty years. While at KU, Msgr. Krische led the transformation of the Center, expanding its outreach to students as well as its influence within the University.

Long known as an effective fundraiser, Msgr. Krische was also a prolific catechist as well as a national voice for Catholic campus ministry.

On Friday, September 30, 2022, CCMA presented Msgr. Krische with an award designed to teach future generations about his impact. The Msgr. Krische Faithful Steward Award will be given each Spring by CCMA to a campus ministry professional who demonstrates excellence in evangelization and ministry.

The new award now stands alongside the Fr. Robert Beloin Award (given to a priest) and the Fr. Forsyth Award. As CCMA’s Executive Director presented Msgr. Krische with the award, others were present to express their gratitude to Msgr. Krische. These included Archbishop Naumann (Archbishop of Kansas City in Kansas), John Flynn (Vice President of Philanthropy, FOCUS), David Trotter, (Director of Philanthropy, FOCUS) and others. Each shared personal stories of how Msgr. Krische had impacted their lives.
