CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
-
8:00 AM - 6:00 PM - Optional Pre-Conference
PREPARED: A CatholicPsych Workshop for Mental Distress Response
Campus Minsters did not need to know how to respond to mental distress a decade ago. Today is a different story. It isn’t a matter of if you will be asked to accompany someone in distress, it is a matter of when. The CatholicPsych Prepared Workshop will train you to become a certified frontline minister capable of responding to mental or emotional distress from an authentically Catholic and sound psychological perspective. At the end of the workshop you will be prepared to:
1) support students in the lead up to professional support
2) recognize what is and isn’t your responsibility
3) intervene before something escalates to an emergency
4) respond to questions from a Catholic Anthropological perspective
5) A certificate verifying your participation and completion of the Prepared Workshop
Instead of feeling overwhelmed, inadequate, or incapable of responding to mental distress, this certification will easily give you the confidence and preparation to meet suffering souls where they are and help them find the healing God yearns to give.

Both CALLED24 and LAUNCH are professional development events that will benefit anyone working in campus ministry.
CALLED24 provides a broader scope of professional development. The theme and workshops change year to year based on the current trends and needs of campus ministry. We encourage campus ministry professionals to attend CALLED yearly for renewal, inspiration and networking.
The LAUNCH curriculum provides a step by step foundation for campus ministry. New hires through people in their fifth year in campus ministry will benefit most from attending LAUNCH. We encourage all campus ministers to attend once.
