Keynote by Ann Garrido

Best-selling author and administrative expert Ann Garrido will present, “Turning down the temperature:  5 Tips for De-escalating a Heated Conversation”.

The last couple of years have been fraught ones with those in the "helping professions", especially for those in campus ministry. Campus ministry professionals are often the ones taking the brunt of others' distress while simultaneously experiencing a high degree of stress themselves.  Drawing on her years as a conflict educator, Ann Garrido will highlight five every-day communication practices each of us can engage to de-escalate tension when conversations get hot.
